Beloved, it is said that what kills people in moments of crisis is not really the problem, what kills is their response, especially the first one. How you initially perceive a problem is not really what it seems.

No matter how gigantic a problem might appear, with the right response you will win. I have learnt that the devil’s presentation of a problem is almost always in the form of a “Goliath”. He does this to destabilize us and send fear down our spines.

When the people of Israel heard the proposal of Nahash, they lifted up their voices and wept. Now, their right eyes were still intact, they are not yet in the midst of battle yet all they could do was weep. That is called a response in fear.

Friend, once we succumb to fear, failure is almost certain. What is currently going on in the world now is a typical example. In Nigeria, West Africa, we have hospitals battling to save the life of people who are suffering from chloroquine poisoning.

It is suggested that the anti-malaria drug maybe used to combat the COVID-19 pandemic but still under laboratory test. People didn’t bother to find out if they’re positive to COVID-19 or not, but rather rushed to buy the drug and started doing self-medication. These are fit and able-bodied people without any symptom of the novel Corona Virus yet are now hospitalized.

That is a wrong response to the situation on ground. That some people have died doesn’t mean your own death warrant has been signed! Friend, between 1918 and 1920, there was the Spanish Flu pandemic that killed almost 50 million people on earth.

Hear me; that you are still alive means your ancestors didn’t die then, so why should you die now?

I want your response to be that if Jesus tarries, in another hundred years your descendants should thank God you survived COVID-19 and left them a great legacy!

I want you to be the David of your generation. How did he respond to the threat of Goliath?
