CONSULTATIONS-2
1Samuel 11:3 “And the elders of Jabesh said unto him, Give us seven days’ respite that we may send messengers unto all the coasts of Israel: and then, if there be no man to save us, we will come out to thee.”

…From yesterday…

Beloved, I have news for you; it is only the help of God that is valid, authentic and free. When divinity comes to your aid no man will be able to take the glory.

When you consult God he knows where to direct you to. Our Father is all knowing, He always guides appropriately. He knows the person holding the key to your miracles. Don’t be doing guess work like these elders, let God take you to the place and the men that can help you.

One thing however that we can learn from this fellows was that they made consultations. Hear this:

Proverbs 11:14 “Where no counsel is, the people fall but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.”

Proverbs 24:6 “For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counsellors there is safety.”

Proverbs 24:6 “For by wise guiding you will overcome in war: and in a number of wise guides there is salvation.” (BBE)

King Solomon was the wisest man that ever lived so he making the above statement should arose our curiosity. It simply means that despite the reservoir of wisdom at his disposal, he still left space for consultations with other intelligent minds!

In life, no man knows it all. We learn and know in parts. God has kept bits of all the wisdom we need in several people. Many of us that have gone to school can testify that it is not just one teacher that taught you all through your academic days neither did they use just one textbook for you.

In order words, you are a compendium of many minds and thoughts. Several tutors or counsel have brought you to where you are and will take you further in life.

Your safety lies in a multitude of counsels but let God direct you to them.
