1 Samuel 11:1 “Then Nahash the Ammonite came up and encamped against Jabeshgilead: and all the men of Jabesh said unto Nahash, Make a covenant with us, and we will serve thee.”

…From yesterday…

Matthew 4:9 “And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.”

Demonic deals always look like an easy way out but hidden within it is death. It would have been easier for Jesus to take the devil’s deal rather than going to the cross but that would have been eternal damnation for mankind.

People that falls easily for the devil’s deals are usually men and women who have identity crisis. These are men that have no idea of who they are in Christ. These people don’t have an inkling of what Christ wrought for us by his death, burial and resurrection.

Hear the starting point of the devil’s offer to Jesus:

Matthew 4:3 “And when the tempter came to him, he said If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.”

Matthew 4:6 “And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.”

Every statement contains, “If thou be the son of God”! Beloved, you are the son of God and there is nothing the devil can do about it. You have the very life of God. You are superior to the devil in every way.

Pick up your Bible, meditate and start confessing every word that has to do with your situation. Demons are supposed to tremble before you not the other way round. Jesus was God and the only weapon he used against the devil was what has been written.

The devil has no respect for a man without the word of God. Stop playing religion, stand on the word. Jesus confronted the devil and conquered by the word.

Rise up today, confront that “Nahash” with the word and watch him collapse like a pack of cards before you!
