TAKE YOUR BED-1
TAKE YOUR BED-1
Mark 2:11 “I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house.”
Mark 2:12 “And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.”
I kept wondering why Jesus likes to tell the people he healed to take their bed and go until it occurred to me that many of us don’t actually know our capabilities. This man was brought by four men on a stretcher but only him carried the same stretcher and went home!
The truth is this; many people are being carried by what they should be carrying. This man singlehandedly did the work of four men on that faithful day after he received his healing. He stood up and carried what was initially carrying him.
It simply means the devil brought a “fake comfort” around him to deceive him and block his mind from his real strength. The enemy wanted him to remain in an afflicted position so as to keep him from fulfilling his purpose.
A lot of people are being carried and have become so comfortable in such positions. It is staying in the comfort zone that has prevented many from fulfilling destiny.
Someone that can employ millions of people is holding tenaciously onto a salary job that is giving him stipends. A man that should become a healing evangelist is busy looking for who will lay hands on him. A man that should be sponsoring people to school is busy begging people for handouts.
Jesus could have asked his friends to lift the heavy stretcher or ask others to assist him, but he wanted him to know that there is nothing to the stretcher.
He wanted him to see the secret of the stretcher and make a mockery of what has been mocking him.
Friend, it is time for you to arise and make a mockery of what has been mocking you. It is high time you pick up your own strength and step into your purpose.
To be continued…
