FOUR COMPONENTS (FAITH)
Mark 2:3 “And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four.”
The second component for success is faith. Determination is excellent by what we have seen but you don’t just get determined on nothing, it must be based on what God has said.
Faith is believing and acting in accordance with what God has said in his word. These four guys didn’t just carry their friend to a hospital, a medical consultant or herbalist.
They left their house with their friend and proceeded straight to Jesus Christ, the walking living Word himself. They didn’t just determine to get their friend healed; they know and believed the healer!
They have absolute trust in the ability, willingness and capability of Jesus as the healer. They were ready to put everything at stake because of Jesus. They did the hard work of breaking through a roof because they trust Jesus.
It is easier to lower their friend than to lift him back up through the roof. I have a strong believe that once they let the man with the palsy down, they started repairing the broken roof.
Once they let their friend down, they counted absolutely on Jesus healing him, they were sure of one thing: They will not need to lift him through the roof again, they believe he will walk back home through the door! That is faith!
Friend, faith is what opens up a man to a world of possibilities. There is nothing impossible to a man of faith. Hear this:
Mark 9:23 “Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.”
Mark 9:23 ”Jesus said, “If? There are no ‘ifs’ among believers. Anything can happen.” (MSG)
Faith commits God to act based on what he has said. To a man of faith, anything can happen, hear this:
Hebrews 11:6 “But without faith it is impossible…”
Hebrews 11:6 told us plainly that without faith it is impossible. It means it cannot happen or cannot be done. But with faith, it sure can.
Faith is trusting God, taking his word and acting on it raw.
