FOUR COMPONENTS (DETERMINATION)-1

FOUR COMPONENTS (DETERMINATION)-1
Mark 2:3 “And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four.”

In this meditation, I want to introduce you to not just four physical friends or people that conveyed the man that was sick of the palsy to Jesus. I want to call them four components needed for a successful and victorious life. They’re the “four components” that brought him on a stretcher.

If you must win consistently then these four ingredients must become part of you. You cannot afford to travel the journey of life without them.

I got this inspiration from the activities of the four friends of the man that was sick of the palsy. When you critically study their actions, these four ingredients could be visibly seen.

These folks demonstrated these concepts to the fullest and I am sure we need them daily as well. The four guys show us great DETERMINATION, FAITH, COMPASSION AND WORK; those are the four components we are going to be considering in this meditation. I call them the four friends or components every one of us should imbibe.

A stretcher is normally carried by four people to create balance, so I want you to remember that there must be a balance of these four in our lives. Only one person holding a corner of the stretcher will not get the job done.

The first component I want us to consider is determination.

Determination is defined as a positive emotional feeling that involves persevering towards a difficult goal in spite of obstacles. It is the ability to continue trying to do something, even though difficult.

Determination shows firmness of purpose and willpower. It is a resolution to keep going on no matter the cost.

Friend, consistently doing what you need to do to succeed, with total focus and resolve, is incredibly difficult. There is no way you will pursue a worthwhile goal in life without you coming headlong with discouragement and obstacles.

Every winner is a fighter and a key weapon is determination. Our world is filled with more dreamers than achievers and the reason is simple, lack of determination.
