Mark 2:3 “And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four.”
Whatever had stopped functioning in your life must jack back to life today, in Jesus name. We don’t know what gave palsy the audacity to takeover this man’s body, but it did without asking for his permission. Hear this:
Isaiah 49:24 “Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered?”
Isaiah 49:25 “But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.”
In the above scripture we saw that there are Oppressions that are legal and the ones that are not. Isaiah shows us there are legal and illegal captives.
A lawful captive is one that has triggered series of events that gave the devil the right to afflict him, while the unlawful is the one that the devil just captured against his or her will.
The man with the palsy was actually a lawful captive because as we will see later, sin was the legal ground the devil used to afflict him. But glory be to God he got delivered.
There is a provision in this covenant that hijacks power and control back from the enemy. The devil taught he had grounded the man with the palsy for life but he met with Jesus and everything turned around for good.
Acts 9:32 “As Peter traveled about the country, he went to visit the Lord’s people who lived in Lydda.”
Acts 9:33 “There he found a man named Aeneas, who was paralyzed and had been bedridden for eight years.”
Acts 9:34 “Aeneas,” Peter said to him, “Jesus Christ heals you. Get up and roll up your mat.” Immediately Aeneas got up.” (NIV)
Friend, every encounter with Jesus always ends in praise. That’s why I know that stagnation and paralysis will give way in your life today as well.
As you call upon the Lord Jesus today, that palsy will bow! Nothing can withstand the authority of Jesus.
