HUNGER FOR THE WORD-2
Mark 2:2 “A crowd gathered, jamming the entrance so no one could get in or out. He was teaching the Word.”(MSG)

…From yesterday…

The Word of God is the power of God, each time the word is being taught, power is available to heal, deliver and make free. The Word of God however is not a thing, it is a personality! The man Jesus himself.

In our focal scripture, these folks gathered around Jesus knowing full well that, He is the power of God unto salvation. Their hunger was for the Word, they wanted fellowship with Jesus.

Beloved, what really is your hunger about? Until you come to a place where the word takes pre-eminence in your life, you will keep struggling. There is nothing you want that God cannot give you as long as you want it via His recommended channel, which is His Word.

God will not break neither bypass His Word to help you. His Word is His bound. Don’t hang around places where they promise you things other than the Word. God’s recommended instrument and vehicle for conveying miracles is His Word.

God doesn’t do magic, He does miracles! The Centurion in Capernaum knows this truth so well. Hear him:

Matthew 8:8 “The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the WORD ONLY, and my servant shall be healed.”

This Centurion knew that all he needed for the miracle he coveted for his servant was the word, and he went after it. Jesus didn’t bother visiting his house again but the Word was sent and his servant became whole.

Friend, increase your hunger for the word of God. Once the Word is in-place every other thing in your life will fall in their proper places.

Hosea 14:2 “Take with you words, and turn to the LORD: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips.”

Don’t approach the place of prayer without being harmed with the Word, that is your purchasing power in the market of heaven. Always remember that.
