DIVINE POSITIONING
Luke 14:2 “And, behold there was a certain man before him which had the dropsy.”

When Jesus got to the house of this Pharisee to eat, there was suddenly another man there. We don’t know how he got there but he was there. The Bible says the man had dropsy.

Luke the writer probably made use of the word dropsy because Bible records that he was a medical doctor. The word dropsy is an old English for a disease now called Edema or Oedema.

This disease makes the feet, legs, or ankles to swell. It is usually caused by fluid retention in those parts of the body. It could be as a result of heart failure, kidney disease, liver issues, blood clots and other infections.

People who suffers from this disease usually have problems with mobility aside other challenges.

The Bible didn’t tell us how this man got to the feast but he was there! Either he was carried or crawled there by himself we don’t know but one thing is certain, he got there. Maybe he was not even invited because immediately after his healing he left the scene.

Here is the gist, this man found himself divinely positioned for a miracle. His path and the path of Divinity crossed perhaps by chance on that faithful day! He found himself right before his Maker and Helper!

By the nature of his infirmity he was supposed to be in a hospital receiving critical medical attention but alas he found himself face-to-face with the Great Physician! He could have been in a place looking unto men for help, but he found himself right before the Helper of men!

Friend, I have news for you, it doesn’t matter your condition; you will find yourself before your helper today! Your path and the path of your destiny helper will cross in Jesus name.

The interesting thing was that, even the so called chief of the Pharisees couldn’t stop him. He got his miracle right under his roof. Men will no longer be able to stop your miracle in Jesus name!
