DESTROYING THE SOURCE-2
Joshua 3:16 “That the waters which came down from above stood and rose up upon an heap very far from the city Adam, that is beside Zaretan: and those that came down toward the sea of the plain, even the salt sea, failed, and were cut off: and the people passed over right against Jericho.”

…From yesterday…

I have discovered that many believers have been busy draining the “Jordan” of their lives. Many have even employed family, friends, colleagues even pastors and prayer warriors to help drain their Jordan rather than stopping the flow from the waters above and salt sea.

This principle comes into play in different forms in our lives. I’ve heard of somebody that was developing symptoms of a lung problem but will not quit smoking. His problem is cigarette not lung problems.

Somebody once told me that she has issues keeping relationships and maintaining customers. She felt she needed marathon fasting and prayer but in reality all she needed was just an attitudinal change! Not keeping relationships is just Jordan, her rude and saucy attitude are the waters from above and salt sea. I told her to cut off those two and her problem will disappear.

Friend, what is feeding your problem? Who is behind the masquerade? Know that everything that is starved will naturally die.

When Noah and his family were confronted by flood, they didn’t seem to know what to do but one day, God showed up and did something very interesting. Hear this:

Gen 8:1 “And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters asswaged;”

Gen 8:2 “The fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained;”

God simply engaged the same principle in solving the problem of Noah. He went to the sources of the problem and stopped them. When the wind blew, the fountains of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped. As soon as that was done the flood disappeared.
