CONFRONT THE PROBLEM-2
Joshua 3:13 “And it shall come to pass, as soon as the soles of the feet of the priests that bear the ark of the LORD, the Lord of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of Jordan, that the waters of Jordan shall be cut off from the waters that come down from above; and they shall stand upon an heap.”

…From yesterday…

Let us consider an instance:

1Samuel 17:24 “And all the men of Israel, when they saw the man, fled from him, and were sore afraid.”

1Samuel 17:25 “And the men of Israel said, Have ye seen this man that is come up? surely to defy Israel is he come up: and it shall be, that the man who killeth him, the king will enrich him with great riches, and will give him his daughter, and make his father’s house free in Israel.”

Goliath dished out threats to Israel on daily basis but the irony of it all was that, the soldiers kept talking about the problem but never confronted it. They even talked about the reward, yet nobody took the bull by the horn until young David showed up. Look at David’s reaction:

1Samuel 17:48 “…David took off from the front line, running toward the Philistine.” (MSG)

The young lad confronted the enemy in haste. Jordan was standing between Israel and the Promised Land, for several years they’ve been at the bank of River Jordan until they finally confronted it. What you don’t confront remains!

Immediately their feet entered into the river it gave way. There are however certain things that were put in place before the confrontation. Before you engage your Jordan you also need to know these things.

The first thing that must be put in place before the confrontation is what I call the priesthood. The Lord told Joshua that it is the priest that must go first. Who is a priest?

A priest is one who is consecrated to the service of God and through whom worship, prayer, sacrifice and other services are offered. A priest is one who minister’s to God.
