Joshua 3:3 “And they commanded the people, saying, When ye see the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, and the priests the Levites bearing it, then ye shall remove from your place, and go after it.”

…From yesterday…

How did the children of Israel find their way through an arid desert? How can we find our way through life?

Our focal scripture gave us the clear answer:

“…When ye see the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, and the priests the Levites bearing it…GO AFTER IT.” (Joshua 3:3)

There is only one recommended way finder, it is the greatest compass of all time; it is called the Word of God. Your Bible is not a story book neither a collection of fables, it is a global compass and with it, you can never go wrong!

God recommended it Himself and with it you will not just find your way, you can chat your path through life. The Word can “pick” you up from wherever you are in life and take you to where you needed to be. It is our way maker and path finder, it is superior to any technology known to man.

The great men of old used it to their advantage. Abraham met with God and was led to the Promised Land. Moses was led, Joshua and the children of Israel were led too. When you follow His dictates and leading, there is only one place you can end up, your own Promised Land!

Hear David:

Psalms 119:19 “I am a stranger in the earth: hide not thy commandments from me.”

Psalms 119:19 “I’m a stranger in these parts; give me clear directions.” (MSG)

Psalms 25:5 “Lead me in thy truth…”

David described us as strangers on earth and the only recommended navigation tool is the Word, no wonder he never lost a battle.

As the Israelites prepared to cross, they were instructed to watch for the Ark of Covenant and follow it. We must keep our mind on God’s truth and open our eyes for His leading hand always, let His word be your compass.
