Strength! Courage!-2

Strength! Courage!-2
Joshua 1:6 “Be strong and of a good courage for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.”

…From yesterday…

God loves it when his children are daring. Giant miracle requires giant courage. Timidity is not part of the nature of a believer. All through scriptures we saw God acting and moving on behalf of the brave.

It looks to me that courage triggers God and brings Him to the side of His children. Taking steps of faith must be accompanied with bold steps.

David like we’ve always discussed fought sixty six battles and lost none, not just because he was skillful but because his trust in God was audacious. Check it out, every time he want something, he was always intrepid.

I was once at a zoo and saw lions been fed in real life. The way the lion devoured his prey was scary. In a matter of minutes the goat that was fed it was completely mauled and devoured. If not for the blood you’ll probably not believe the lion was fed at all.

After watching that act by the large cat, I started asking myself, what came over David? The lion and the bear didn’t come for him yet he went after them. Hear him:

1Samuel 17:34 “And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father’s sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock:”

1Samuel 17:35 “And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him.”

In case you’ve not seen a lion in real life, you must have seen them in movies and I want to believe it’s not an animal you’ll like to confront.

Truth be told; courage doesn’t mean an absence of fear, it simply means acting in spite of it! If you wait till the conditions are perfect before doing things, you will wait forever!

Remember the sea was still boisterous when Peter jumped out of the ship and walked on water! (Matthew 14:28-31)
