THE PRAYER POINTS-1
Esther 4:15 “Then Esther bade them return Mordecai this answer,”
Esther 4:16 “Go gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish I perish”
As I kept studying the Book of Esther and came across our focal scriptures, I had several questions welling up in my spirit. But chief among them is this: While Esther and the Jews were fasting and praying, what were their prayer points?
I was searching for answers until I hear the Holy Spirit whisper gently in my ears. He simply said: “When you look at what happened after the three days fasting, you will know their prayer points!”
He has since showed me many but let me share few with you. Beloved, when the heat of the attack of the enemy is thick against you, there is a way to pray. There is what to say to God to turn the table and swing the bell in your favour. Here are some of the things I found out:
1. ESTHER ASKED FOR FAVOUR
Esther 5:1 “Now it came to pass on the third day, that Esther put on her royal apparel, and stood in the inner court of the king’s house, over against the king’s house: and the king sat upon his royal throne in the royal house, over against the gate of the house.”
Esther 5:2 “And it was so, when the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, that SHE OBTAINED FAVOUR IN HIS SIGHT: and the king held out to Esther the golden sceptre that was in his hand. So Esther drew near and touched the top of the sceptre.”
When Esther showed up before the king against the law of the land, rather than get the death penalty, she obtained favour!
Beloved, when in the middle of a mess and there seems no way out, your number one prayer point should be to ask for divine favour! Ask the King of kings to show you favour.
