NEVER LOSE HOPE-1

NEVER LOSE HOPE-1
Esther 5:1 “Now it came to pass on the third day, that Esther put on her royal apparel, and stood in the inner court of the king’s house, over against the king’s house: and the king sat upon his royal throne in the royal house, over against the gate of the house.”

Esther 5:2 “And it was so, when the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, that she obtained favour in his sight: and the king held out to Esther the golden sceptre that was in his hand. So Esther drew near and touched the top of the sceptre.”

If you don’t give something a trial you may never know how it will end. Esther hoped, released her faith, fasted, prayed and received favour beyond her wildest imagination.

Rather than getting the death sentence, the great King Xerxes extended the royal golden scepter to Esther showing that she has been accepted.

I want to believe that when she was going in to see the king without been sent for, other people including her maidens and the palace guards would have begged her not to and even show her a copy of the law. Some of her close allies were probably crying because they knew the implication of her action but the woman didn’t relent, she kept hope alive!

According to one commentary, the basic message of Esther’s story is this: No matter how hopeless your situation may seem, never lose hope! There are no impossible situations with God. The strategies of God are unquantifiable.

After the whole issue was resolved, Esther did something very interesting, hear this:

Esther 9:29 “Queen Esther, the daughter of Abihail, backed Mordecai the Jew, using her full queenly authority in this second Purim letter”

Esther 9:30 “to endorse and ratify what he wrote. Calming and reassuring letters went out to all the Jews throughout the 127 provinces of Xerxes’ kingdom”

Esther 9:31 “to fix these days of Purim their assigned place on the calendar, dates set by Mordecai the Jew–what they had agreed to for themselves and their descendants regarding their fasting and mourning.” (MSG)

To be continued…
