THE LAW OF SACRIFICE-2
Esther 4:16 “Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.”

…From yesterday…

Hebrews 11:25 “Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;”

Hebrews 11:27 “By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured as seeing him who is invisible.”

I’m sure people in Egypt couldn’t believe the choice of Moses. How will a crowned prince wake up one morning and say he is a slave? Choosing rather the sufferings of the slave camp to the luxuries of the palace, it doesn’t just add up.

Moses made that great sacrifice and the end justified the means. That sacrifice produced the ten plagues of Egypt. It parted the Red sea, sweetened the bitter water of Marah, brought water out of the rock, gave mere mortals manna (the food of angels) and so many other miracles.

Until you make that sacrifice, you won’t know the miracles and wonders that lies ahead. Esther made that great sacrifice and saw the great King Xerxes change his mind and decrees.

Beloved, King David sacrificed his time in praise, prayers and the word. He fought sixty six battles and lost none.

Jesus left the beautiful confines of heaven and came down here to die for mere mortals. He even sacrificed all his riches and wealth so that we can become wealthy.

2Corinthians 8:9 “For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor that ye through his poverty might be rich”

Jesus also sacrificed his time and energy in the place of prayers and the world is yet to recover from his coming, two thousand years after.

Friend, leaders make sacrifices. You can shock the world when you make sacrifices too. There is something to give up in order to step into your palace, find it, Selah!
