DIFFERENT RULES-1
Esther 3:8 “And Haman said unto king Ahasuerus, There is a certain people scattered abroad and dispersed among the people in all the provinces of thy kingdom; and their laws are diverse from all people; neither keep they the king’s laws: therefore it is not for the king’s profit to suffer them.”

Beloved, it doesn’t matter where you find yourself, you must never forget that you’re different. We are in the world but not of the world. The systems and operations of this world does not apply to us.

Our focal scripture reveals something very interesting about the Jews, it says, “…their laws are diverse from all people.” One of the things that infuriates the enemy is the fact that they don’t operate by the modus operandi of the world. Hear this:

Esther 3:8 “Haman then spoke with King Xerxes: “There is an odd set of people scattered through the provinces of your kingdom who don’t fit in. THEIR CUSTOMS AND WAYS ARE DIFFERENT FROM THOSE OF EVERYBODY ELSE. Worse, they disregard the king’s laws. They’re an affront; the king shouldn’t put up with them.”(MSG)

We operate by a set of different rules, our customs and ways are different. It grieves God when He sees his children blending in and behaving like the people of the world. You cannot afford to forget your identity and ways of life. One thing that must keep ringing in your mind is that you’re different. Hear this:

Romans 12:2 “Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking.” (MSG)

Don’t be conformed or molded into the pattern of this world. The patterns of this world are all around us and many times we act it out like them unconsciously.

One of the rules of this world for example is to hate, but you cannot respond with hate, you respond with love. Another rule is to bribe and manipulate people but you must operate with integrity and righteousness.

When they operate by chaos you respond with peace and harmony. You are not like them.
