COURAGE-2
Esther 4:16 “Go, gather together all the Jews who are in Susa, and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my attendants will fast as you do. When this is done, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish.”

…From yesterday…

Until a man finds a cause that is bigger than him and for which he is willing to die, he is not ready to live! Hear our Lord and Saviour:

Matthew 16:24 “Then Jesus told His disciples, “If anyone would come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me.”

Matthew 16:25 “For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it…”

Friend, everyone that once pick up the courage to die for a cause greater than themselves lived! We have different examples in the scriptures; The three Hebrew boys were in this situation, they picked up courage and faced the fiery furnace and came out unhurt. Daniel faced the lion’s den and was not consumed. Moses faced Pharaoh and couldn’t be killed.

I want you to know that in life you must be a risk taker. Courage comes with risk but one thing you must focus on is the reward. When your focus is the reward, it becomes easy to be courageous. Hear this:

Hebrews 12:2 “fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Hebrews 12:3 “Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.”(NIV)

Jesus himself had to travel a path laden with danger in order to receive a name that is greater than every other name. It takes a lot of courage to face the cross, remember at the last moments he even wished for the “cup to be removed” from him (Luke 22:42) but the thought of the reward kept him going.
