WHAT DO YOU HAVE?-1
Esther 2:7 “And he brought up Hadassah, that is, Esther, his uncle’s daughter: for she had neither father nor mother, and the maid was fair and beautiful; whom Mordecai, when her father and mother were dead, took for his own daughter.”
Today, we will continue picking new lessons from the book of Esther.
Our focal scripture points out certain truths about Esther that we need to consider. The Bible says, she “…had neither father nor mother…” Esther was an orphan as we have seen earlier which puts her at a disadvantaged position.
Esther had no father or mother to help her find her feet in life. To make matters worse, she was in the hand of an uncle who was a servant in slavery! All odds were against this lady but then the Bible pointed us to something significant but subtle.
We were told that Esther “was fair and beautiful! Friend, the beauty and carriage of Esther got her to her throne. This girl didn’t have a father, mother, rich uncle, connections, money, education and other things that men use to get what they want in life but she arrived on her throne.
Beloved, you may not have what others have but I want you to know for a certainty that as the Lord lives, you will also arrive on your throne in Jesus name. The disadvantages in your life are not strong enough to stop you. Your humble and lowly background has nothing to do with your glorious future, please don’t write yourself off.
All what men could see were the disadvantages of Esther but long before she arrived on this planet, the Creator has kept something in her that will enthrone her, it is called beauty.
The word “beautiful” as used in Esther 2:7 from the Hebrew is translated to mean; “supernatural vision”, “of a higher nature”, “valuable in estimation”, “moral beauty or good”, “benefit”, “rich” and “appropriate”.
I took time to give those interpretations to let you know that God does not make nonentities and that all you needed to succeed and get to your throne in life are already imbedded on your inside.
To be continued…
