PALACE PROTOCOL-1
Esther 2:5 “Now in Shushan the palace there was a certain Jew, whose name was Mordecai, the son of Jair, the son of Shimei, the son of Kish, a Benjamite;”

We will consider some of the benefits of having a destiny father and mentor over your head:

1. Your father introduces you to the palace. He is able to do this because he understands the palace protocol. Mordecai was no stranger to the palace, he works in the palace, has his ears to the ground and knows what is needed there.

You cannot enter a palace or a great place without understanding the protocol. It doesn’t matter the “palace” you want to enter in life, you must first and foremost talk to somebody that is familiar with the terrain. I’ve watched in life as several men labour and struggle to achieve feats without asking questions from a father figure.

Friend, your father might not be the king in that palace but he has stayed there long enough to know what it entails to seat on the throne and how royalty behaves. He knows the likes and dislikes of the king.

Mordecai knew there was vacancy in the palace at Shushan and also knows how to get Esther to occupy the vacant seat. Hear this:

Esther 2:8 “So it came to pass, when the king’s commandment and his decree was heard, and when many maidens were gathered together unto Shushan the palace, to the custody of Hegai, that Esther was brought also unto the king’s house, to the custody of Hegai, keeper of the women.”

It is said here that “Esther was brought”; check this story very well, you’ll discover that none of the other maidens were brought. It takes somebody who is groomed and brought to occupy a throne!

Modecai didn’t just know the protocol of the palace, he knows Hegai as well. The rising of Esther didn’t just happen, it has a “political” side as well. Hegai and Mordecai were probably great friends, and in some of their relaxed moments Mordecai must have asked for the characteristics of the lady who is fit to become the queen of the land.
