Proverbs 11:24 “There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and [there is] that withholdeth more than is meet, but [it tendeth] to poverty.”

When you meet a man who hates to give, you have met a poor man. It doesn’t matter your anointing, if you don’t give you won’t receive.

In the world, to make money you hold unto the one you have but in God’s economy, giving is tantamount to receiving.

When God Himself wanted to win the souls of men, he simply engaged this principle by sending His One and Only begotten son. He had to sow to receive. This is a fundamental law that enriches men.

The reason why they pay you at the end of each month is because you’ve sown the seed of labour. Whatever you give out will return back to you in multiple folds; harvest is usually greater than the seed.

Our focal scripture shows that withholding will only make you poor. I love it in the Message translation:

Proverbs 11:24 “The world of the generous gets larger and larger; the world of the stingy gets smaller and smaller.”

You must therefore have wisdom that whatever gets into your hand has two components: The seed and the bread. The seed carries the power of reproduction and multiplication while the bread is the part to eat and consume.

An understanding of this principle should guide what you do with whatever comes into your hands. If you eat the seed and the bread, you have simply created a vacuum in your future. Many people arrive at an empty future blaming others but the truth is that the seed you sow today simply goes into the future where it multiplies and waits for you. So, when you don’t sow you’ll still arrive at that future but it will be empty.

Luke 6:38 “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”

Many people expect men to give to them but the question is do you give to men?
