LAZINESS-2
LAZINESS-2
Proverbs 10:4 “Being lazy will make you poor, but hard work will make you rich.” (GNB)
Proverbs 21:25 “The desire of the slothful killeth him; for his hands refuse to labour.”
…From yesterday…
Every wealthy man knows how to burn the midnight oil. Hear this:
Proverbs 6: 10 “Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep”
Proverbs 6:11 “So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth and thy want as an armed man.”
You might say the body needs rest, that’s very true but you must also know that too much sleep is what makes men poor. When you fold your hands, you’re teaming up with poverty. Laziness is an attitude that is conducive to idleness.
You will never meet a lazy rich man. I’ve seen many poor folks who just want the rich to “dash” them money; rather than work they want handouts. You must make up your mind to fight every ounce of laziness in your life no matter what.
I’ve since discover that what really makes men poor is not just physical laziness but mental laziness as well. If you look at the example of God, He made a blueprint before the actual construction of the earth.
Job 38:5 “Who decided on its size? Certainly you’ll know that! Who came up with the blueprints and measurements?”(MSG)
The blueprint part is what people don’t want and it is very crucial. The mental hardwork is what distinguishes a messenger from a manager. It is not just working hard, you must learn to work smart too.
God is a thinker and we cannot afford to be mentally lazy. Hear this:
Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
A man that does not do mental hard work wont amount to anything in life. Let me shock you; God need your mind to help you!
Philemon 1:14 “But without thy mind would I do nothing…”
Beloved, work hard mentally and physically; then watch poverty leave you for good!
