Judges 11:5 “And it was so, that when the children of Ammon made war against Israel, the elders of Gilead went to fetch Jephthah out of the land of Tob:”

…From yesterday…

Act 9:39 “Then Peter arose and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them.”

Act 9:40 “But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat up.”

The Bible showed us here that Tabitha or Dorcas fell sick and died, but rather than getting worried the other disciples sent for Peter. They recognize the grace and anointing on Peter, they didn’t also prove to be disciples. They simply sent for him and on his arrival she was brought back to life.

When you develop your gifts and relevance men will send for you. They sent for Jephthah, they sent for Peter, they sent for Paul and others, they will send for you in Jesus name.

A second lesson to see here is that, the elders of Israel recognize their destiny helper. Many people travel the road of life without help because they disdain their helpers.

Friend, you may not like this but I want you to know that your destiny helper may not necessarily appear inform of that your rich uncle or prominent cousin. Most times they appear inform of weak and seemingly irrelevant folks.

They might not appear as if they can give you the whole world but then you might not need the whole world all you need might just be an information. Consider this scenario:

2Kings 5:1 “Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honourable because by him the LORD had given deliverance unto Syria: he was also a mighty man in valour, but he was a leper”
