PREPARATION-2
Judges 11:4 “And it came to pass in process of time, that the children of Ammon made war against Israel.”

Judges 11:5 “And it was so, that when the children of Ammon made war against Israel, the elders of Gilead went to fetch Jephthah out of the land of Tob:”

…From yesterday…

The day the lion and the bear showed up against David in the bush while tending his father’s sheep, was a training period for him. He could have chosen to run away but he waited, risked his life but passed the examination in flying colours. It was his preparation for the battle against Goliath and invariably the throne.

Joseph started by interpreting his own dreams; then the dreams of the baker and butler. They were his preparation to interpreting a national dream that will enthrone him.

Serving as a servant to Elijah including pouring water on his hands after eating were part of the training process Elisha needed to become a great prophet.

My spiritual father often say, “Many people are unconscious teachers but you must not be an unconscious learner.” Use every opportunity that comes your way to learn.

I often tell young ladies around married women who are raising children to use it as an opportunity to learn how to take care of babies because one day they will be in the same position. But, the issue is that they often complain that the married woman is “just using” them instead of opening their eyes to master the process.

You might think your boss, master, father, mother, teacher and so on are using you but know that if nobody uses you, you will eventually become useless.

While Jephthah was getting set, his brothers and the other men of Israel were busy playing and feasting. They avoided training and when the challenges of life showed up, they were not ready.

Friend, in the same process of time, the children of Ammon were busy preparing for war and strategizing on how to attack and defeat Israel. The enemy does not sleep, he keeps going to and fro getting ready to strike.
