Judges 11:3 “Then Jephthah fled from his brethren, and dwelt in the land of Tob: and there were gathered vain men to Jephthah, and went out with him.”
Friend, you wanted a car but got a motor cycle. You wanted a large expanse of land but got a small plot, about one tenth of the one you envisioned. You thought they’ll employ you as a manager but was told the only available job was that of a messenger!
I have a news for you; you just met your Vain men! You are a “Jephthah” and part of your manifestation includes meeting Vain men.
Those worthless men in the eyes of others are the ones that will become your great generals tomorrow. That little business in your hand that looks like nothing today have the capacity to become a blue-chip company.
John 6:5 “When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat”
John 6:8 “One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, saith unto him,”
John 6:9 “There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?”
The problem with many people is that when they meet their Vain men, they disdain them. They wonder if anything good could come out of them. Jesus had a “Vain men” situation when he needed to feed multitude in the wilderness.
What was available to him was nothing compared to what he needed but he knew everything starts from a seed and when you see the good in what you’ve been given, you’ll bring the best out of it.
I know you were encouraged when you read about the Land of Tob but I want you to be much more encouraged with the arrival of your Vain men. They are the ingredients for your lifting. They carry the seed for greatness deep within them.
Those your “vain”, “miserable” five barley loaves and two small fishes are just about enough to feed five thousand men!
To be continued…
