Judges 11:3 “Then Jephthah fled from his brethren, and dwelt in the land of Tob: and there were gathered vain men to Jephthah, and went out with him.”

Jephthah was sent packing and he fled for his life. Unfortunately for the devil, Jephthah ended up in Tob! We don’t know for how long he ran but at the end he landed in the land of Tob!

Guess what? The enemy always miscalculate when it comes to the issue of the believer in Christ. Every attack on a believer moves him forward. The calculation, plots and permutations of the enemy against a child of God always work for his good.

The word Tob from the Hebrew has several meanings; such as pleasant, pleasure, precious, prosperity, ready, sweet, wealth, welfare, be well-favoured, but primarily it means good or good things, good men or women.

Friend, I want you to be encouraged today, perhaps you just landed in “Tob” and you’re angry and mad at the enemy and the folks that sent you packing, they could even be your best friends or close allies, I want you to see past them.

Their conspiracy has just gotten you to Tob! God has used them to move you to Tob; a good place, a pleasant, prosperous, sweet and wealthy place. You have just left a place of wicked people to a place that is filled with good and great people.

God has reserved for you in Tob, the men and woman who will help you fulfil divine mandate. Stop crying about the people you have left behind, and the ones that pushed you out, their assignment in your destiny is probably over.

You have just entered the place of manifestation, meeting with the people you have been assigned to. Stop crying, wipe away your tears and begin to seek for the good in your Tob.

Joseph didn’t do well until he finally landed in Egypt. The nation of Egypt became his own version of Tob. If only his brothers knew that they were pushing him to Tob, they would have left him in Canaan.

To be continued…
