Judges 16: 30 “And Samson said Let me die with the Philistines…”

…From yesterday…

When you don’t understand the purpose of the contributions of God into your life your desires and prayers will be wrong.

As we round up this meditation, I want you to know that the same God that grew back Samson’s hair can equally “grow back his eyes”! That was a truth Samson didn’t know.

All Samson need do was ask God for a new vision. He knew his hair was growing back, so obviously his assignment was not yet over but lack of intimacy and selfishness made his prayers wrong.

Let me show you another man that lost his eyes and how he prayed:

Act 9:5 “And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.”

Act 9:6 “And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.”

Act 9:8 “And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man: but they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus.”

Saul encountered Jesus and lost his sight but even as an unbeliever, he was very smart. He knew that though his sight was gone, if he could just tie his recovery to his assignment there will be total restoration of his eyesight and that was exactly what happened.

I want you to know that God wants us alive and will do everything possible to keep us whole, hale and hearty.

Beloved, you don’t need to die with your enemies. Your assignment in life and destiny has nothing to do with you. It’s all about fulfilling a divine mandate.

Develop intimacy with your Creator and find out what he would have you do! Once that is done, He won’t just grow your hair, He’ll grow your vision as well.

Beloved, you have no business dying now not to talk of dying with your enemies, stay alive and fulfil heaven’s mandate!
