GAZA
Judges 16:21 “But the Philistines took him, and put out his eyes, and brought him down to Gaza, and bound him with fetters of brass; and he did grind in the prison house.”

When the Philistines finished removing his sight, they immediately took him to a town called Gaza. Why Gaza?

The word Gaza as used here means; harsh, fierce, mighty, power and strong. In order words, they treated him harshly and exert their power on him. They brought him under the influence of their might.

Many people today are either been influenced by the powers of the enemy or are already operating under the influence of such powers. Many are dealing with issues that is far beyond their capacity.

Persistent or life threatening sickness, childlessness, troubles, unexplainable losses in business, frustration, joblessness, depression, disfavour, pressures at home and at work are some of the manifestations of Gaza.

But, I’m glad to let you know that the Lord will destroy every hold of Gaza over your life today. You will come out of whatever Gaza the enemy has kept you or your lineage. Hear this:

1John 3:8 “He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested that he might destroy the works of the devil.”

Jesus came to get us out of Gaza, you must not return there. Once you sense any of the above strange demonic activities around your life, you must quickly rise up in the place of prayer.

Don’t go back to a place you’ve been delivered from, may the crucifixion, death and resurrection of Christ never be in vain over our lives in Jesus name.

I pray this for you today:

Psalms 89:22 “The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.”

The enemy will no longer exert upon you. The son of wickedness will no longer afflict you. The strongman oppressing you losses his hold over you in Jesus name.

May you continue to enjoy the freedom which Christ has wrought for us in Jesus name!
