GOING OUT AS BEFORE-3
GOING OUT AS BEFORE-3
Judges 16:20 “And she said The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he awoke out of his sleep, and said I will go out as at other times before, and shake myself. And he wist not that the LORD was departed from him.”
…From yesterday…
I’ve seen believers who got promoted at work and suddenly can’t attend church activities again because they are now busier and the work has become more demanding.
This is the same work and promotion they prayed and fasted for years to make happen. If you prayed and fasted to get it how else do you think you’ll keep and maintain it?
I have since realized that there are more Samson’s in our days that in the days of the Judges. We have so many careless believers whose life will even bewilder Samson if he looks down from heaven.
On that faithful day, Samson got up to confront the enemy as before but unfortunately for him, he had no spiritual resources to muster against the devil again. He was all dried up and weak.
Don’t be a believer who has grieved the Holy Spirit to the point that though He is still in you, He has decided to go silence because you don’t listen to Him anymore. Don’t keep going around with your own wisdom and intelligence thinking God is leading you.
Every morning before you go out, you must cultivate the habit of visiting your secret place and checking the mirror of the word to be sure your hair is still in place! I’m sure you understand that metaphor, hear this:
2Corinthians 3:18 “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.”
The word of God is a mirror, each time you stare into it, you see who you are, who you’re not and who God want you to be.
It reveals the real you to you each day. It shows you where you have fallen short and what you need to do.
To be continued…
