Judges 16:19 “And she made him sleep upon her knees; and she called for a man, and she caused him to shave off the seven locks of his head; and she began to afflict him, and his strength went from him.”

Judges 16:20 “And she said The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he awoke out of his sleep, and said I will go out as at other times before, and shake myself. And he wist not that the LORD was departed from him.”

…From yesterday…

Spiritual sleep is that day you decided you needed rest from Bible studies, meditation and prayer meeting. Let me show you one man:

2Samuel 11:1 “And it came to pass, after the year was expired, at the time when kings go forth to battle, that David sent Joab, and his servants with him, and all Israel; and they destroyed the children of Ammon, and besieged Rabbah. But David tarried still at Jerusalem.”

2Samuel 11:2 “And it came to pass in an eveningtide, that David arose from off his bed, and walked upon the roof of the king’s house: and from the roof he saw a woman washing herself; and the woman was very beautiful to look upon.”

2Samuel 11:3 “And David sent and enquired after the woman. And one said Is not this Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite?”

2Samuel 11:4 “And David sent messengers, and took her; and she came in unto him, and he lay with her…”

There is no excuse strong enough to make you release your foot from the throttle of your spiritual activities. Don’t get careless and carried away. That you’re standing strong in spiritual things today doesn’t mean you should stop the activities that got you there.

Remember, the devil knows what he is doing and you must know too. Don’t let the enemy plant things in your life that will fight you later. Kill every seed of the devil before it germinates.

I come against whatever the enemy has planted and done in your life when you slept off, I decree a divine reversal in Jesus name.
