IN LOVE WITH DELILAH-2
Judges 16:4 “And it came to pass afterward, that he loved a woman in the valley of Sorek, whose name was Delilah.”

The main aim of the Delilah spirit is to bring a believer down, dry him up and empty him of all spiritual sense, virtues and energy.

Friend, whatever is draining your spiritual energy is taking you on the part of destruction. What activities are you partaking in that does not edify you? What personality is currently in your life to drain it?

In recognizing this spirit, you need sensitivity of the spirit. It will not just come and announce herself as the Delilah spirit, it will appear friendly and subtle. It will gradually start by replacing solid spiritual activities with other things.

It is also a spirit that attacks by dangling things at your face. To dangle means to offer or display something as an enticement or inducement. It was a manifestation of this spirit that the devil used against Jesus. Hear this:

Matthew 4:8 “Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;”

Matthew 4:9 “And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.”

Matthew 4:10 “Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written…”

The devil started out by telling Jesus to turn stone to bread, jump down and so on, when that didn’t work, he showed him stuffs in order to entice him to bow and worship him but Jesus vehemently refused.

The only antidote to the operation of this spirit is the Word of God. Unfortunately for Samson he has no word to throw back at the devil and he fell flat. This spirit eventually caused him to fail, impoverish him and drain him of all spiritual energy.

Beloved, it is high time you become aware of this demonic operation and check the objects of your love. What are your visions and desires doing to your spiritual life? Don’t fall in love with destruction!
