2 Samuel 23:16 “And the three mighty men brake through the host of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem, that [was] by the gate, and took [it], and brought [it] to David: nevertheless he would not drink thereof, but poured it out unto the LORD.”
No wonder Paul said:
2 Corinthians 10:4 “(For the weapons of our warfare [are] not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)”
2 Corinthians 10:5 “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;”
You cannot breakthrough if you are not ready to push through.
Friend, the strategy of the enemy has not changed from time immemorial, it is still the same old devil fighting, building strongholds in our minds thereby preventing our dreams from happening.
All we need do is to go for what we want with full determination in the place of fasting, prayers, worship and the word. When you engage your mind in the place of meditation on the word of God, you disabuse your mind of the strongholds the enemy has built against you.
Many believers are lazy and always run away from challenges. Friend, treasures are never seen on the surface, you dig deep for them. If you must drink milk and honey from the rock, you must be ready to engage your axe and strength.
Jesus came here as hundred percent God and hundred percent man but in order for him to obtain the crown and a name above all names, he prayed! If God as Jesus Christ fasted and prayed, you must do same!
He needn’t do that but he did it to give us an example.
These three mighty men broke through the camp of the Philistines to fetch water. The word breakthrough means to rent, split open or expose what has been hidden.
The dictionary defines breakthrough as advancing through and past enemy lines. It also defines it as any major progress; such as a great innovation or discovery that overcomes a significant obstacle.
