2Samuel 23:15 “And David longed and said Oh that one would give me drink of the water of the well of Bethlehem, which is by the gate!”
God is ever faithful and committed to our wellbeing but He’ll never force anything on us. Hear this:
Job 34:19 “[How much less to him] that accepteth not the persons of princes, nor regardeth the rich more than the poor? for they all [are] the work of his hands.”
Proverbs 22:2 “Rich and poor have this in common: The LORD is the Maker of them all.”(NIV)
It will interest you to know that God created both the rich and the poor but our choices determines the category we find ourselves. When He brings opportunities to us, several things happen. Let me show you one:
Proverbs 10:4 “He becometh poor that dealeth [with] a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.”
A poor man is usually frivolous and lackadaisical with his time and chance while the rich bend their backs and work hard on theirs. Each of us determine the outcome of our lives.
There is this popular scripture we love to quote and pray with, but most times we abuse it.
3 John 1:2 “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”
Friend, that scripture didn’t directly say you will prosper and be in health. It was simply a longing or desire in the heart of God. John was simply telling us about a “wish”, deep in the heart of the Father.
The one that will become healthy and prosperous must be ready to invest in his soul or mind! It’s not just quoting that verse that matters it’s enriching your soul that will give the desired result!
When prophecies are declared no name is attached to it most times. It is left for you and I to use it or ignore it.
To be continued…
