YOU CAN’T LOSE-1
2Samuel 23:11 “And after him was Shammah the son of Agee the Hararite. And the Philistines were gathered together into a troop, where was a piece of ground full of lentiles: and the people fled from the Philistines.”

2Samuel 23:12 “But he stood in the midst of the ground, and defended it, and slew the Philistines: and the LORD wrought a great victory.”

Today, I want to let you know that you’re stronger than you’ll ever think. You can achieve things that others can only dream of. In the affairs of life, you can never lose. It doesn’t matter how fierce the enemy rage, you must never lose to him.

We were earlier told in verse 8, that what we are about to read was the biography of David’s mighty men, we were then showed how each one of them earned that status.

2Samuel 23:8 “These be the names of the mighty men whom David had…”

Shammah was just an ordinary soldier prior to this encounter but by that singular act he enrolled in David’s Special Forces and Commandos. He was elevated and promoted beyond his imagination.

However, this soldier didn’t just attain that feat, there were certain ingredients and forces in his life that made it possible. I want you to take note of something very important in our focal scripture; the way Shammah was introduced.

I believe strongly that the Bible didn’t just introduce him the way it did, there was a depth of detail hidden there. He was introduced as, “Shammah the son of Agee the Hararite.” In those words are the details you must know and never forget about yourself.

The name Shammah in the Hebrew means; astonishment, wonderful thing, miracle and wonder, amongst others. The first ingredient I saw in the life of Shammah is “wonder.”

A song writer said the believer is a “walking talking miracle”. The forces of wonder and miracle works in the life of every believer. Every child of God is a wonder, that is why we can never be trapped.

Psalms 71:7 “I am as a wonder unto many; but thou art my strong refuge.”
