2 Samuel 23: 11 “And after him was Shammah the son of Agee the Hararite. And the Philistines were gathered together into a troop, where was a piece of ground full of lentiles: and the people fled from the Philistines.”

…From yesterday…

1Samuel 17:9 “If he be able to fight with me, and to kill me, then will we be your servants: but if I prevail against him, and kill him, then shall ye be our servants, and serve us.”

1Samuel 17:10 “And the Philistine said, I defy the armies of Israel this day; give me a man, that we may fight together.”

1Samuel 17:11 “When Saul and all Israel heard those words of the Philistine, they were dismayed, and greatly afraid.”

1Samuel 17:16 “And the Philistine drew near morning and evening, and presented himself forty days.”

They kept running for forty days until David showed up on a bright and beautiful day. David confronted Goliath and in less than thirty minutes, forty days threat was destroyed! You will never know how powerless the forces against you are until you confront them!

The folks in our focal scripture also fled immediately the Philistines showed up without putting up a fight. But, for you to understand how powerless they were, only one man withstood and conquered them!

Friend, there is nothing to the enemy confronting you in life and destiny, if only you can stand your ground. Threats and terror are weapons the enemy throws at us to throw us off balance.

The threats and reports might look intimidating and terrifying but stand your ground. The first step to winning the battle against you is to maintain your position in Christ.

You must never flee from the place of harvest, don’t ever concede ground to the devil. God gave you sound health, sound mind, good job, your body, your family, your land and children. You owe God a responsibility to stand your ground and defend all that He’s given you!

All you have is from God, why should you run and allow the enemy harvest your labour? Don’t run only for you to discover later that you could have stayed and win!
