DROP THAT GARMENT-3
Mark 10:50 “And he, casting away his garment, rose and came to Jesus.”

…From yesterday…

Let’s consider Elisha:

2Ki 2:12 “And Elisha saw it, and he cried My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces.”

2kings 2:13 “He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back and stood by the bank of Jordan;”

Elisha couldn’t take up the mantle of Elijah until he tore off his own garment! Friend, I’ll like you to do a soul search and tell God to show you the garments to tear off so that you can attain the height He has prepared for you.

There are things you cannot have until you have a change of garment. Some people’s garment is a foul attitude; gossip, malice, hatred, backbiting, wrath; one sin or the other. You might say you’re born again but let me show you somebody:

Zechariah 3:1 “And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.”

Zechariah 3:3 “Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel.”

Zechariah 3:4 “And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said Behold I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.”

Joshua here was already a high priest. He knew God but was limited by what he had. He was wrongly dressed. The saddest part however was that the devil stood at his right hand and resisted him.

The filthy garments, gave the devil license and inroad into his affairs. The devil stood on his right hand which is an indication that the attack was on his job and career, because the right hand is the hand of power and work.

I pray for you today, may the Lord pull off every negative garment and hindrance in your life, in Jesus name.
