Mark 10:47 “And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.”
Mark 10:48 “And many charged him that he should hold his peace but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.”
The word of God is quick, active, powerful, sharp and so on as described in Hebrews 4:12, but that can only be seen and experienced when it is vocalized.
Speaking the word of God, is like releasing a bullet from the barrels of a gun. A loaded gun is not powerful until it is triggered. Each time we release the word of God from our mouth, we activate the forces of heaven in our favour.
A closed mouth is a closed destiny and of course death. Hear this:
Isaiah 53:7 “He was beaten, he was tortured, but he didn’t say a word. Like a lamb taken to be slaughtered and like a sheep being sheared, he took it all in silence.”
Isaiah 53:8 “Justice miscarried, and he was led off– and did anyone really know what was happening? He died without a thought for his own welfare, beaten bloody for the sins of my people.” (MSG)
The above description was that of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, but that account vividly describes what happens when a man keeps quiet about the issues of his life.
Jesus kept absolutely quiet and terrible things began to happen. When a man keeps quiet about his destiny, he will be tortured, manhandled, suffer injustice and even killed. Your mouth is a weapon of defense and as long as you can talk, nothing can stop you.
Beloved, I’m glad to let you know that Jesus kept mum so that you and I can have a voice! The One that needed to be silent has done that already, and has now put his word in our mouth so that we won’t need to suffer.
Once you recognize your destiny helpers, call out to them. When men and situations of life show up to keep you quiet, shout the more!
