OUT OF JERICHO
Mark 10:46 “And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging”

The word Jericho means “a place of fragrance”. It’s a beautiful place that smells nice. Jericho was a good place with several people but unfortunately Bartimaeus could not stay inside.

We saw from our focal scripture that he was on the out sketch of the town. He was staying “out of Jericho”. Others were staying “in” but he was “out”. Staying at the out sketch of a beautiful place of fragrance is definitely not the place anyone want to be.

Friend, perhaps you’re located somewhere out of the “place of fragrance” or “your Jericho” today, I want you to know that God will meet you there. Several people are located in different places that represents “out”, such as out of place, out of love, out of ideas, out of job, out of prospects, out of favour, out of health or even out of order.

No matter the “out” you’re in, Jesus will meet you there. He is already in Jericho, stay calm, he’s already coming for you.

Bartimaeus was blind, and it was a condition that kept him out of the city or place of fragrance and beauty but alas the Master showed up and rescued him. What he did for one, he can sure do for another.

Another thing “out” represent is rejection. Bartimaeus was rejected from the place of fragrance to depend on the “goodwill” of people in order to survive. He became an object of pity, living on hand-outs but the day Jesus came his way, his story changed.

It doesn’t matter the rejection, Jesus will pass through your way. The “out” of Jericho looks like a place of rejection and disadvantage, but it became the position where Bartimaeus met with divinity. I want you to know that correct positioning is a requirement for miracle.

Friend, the “out” around you will correctly position you for a life changing encounter today in Jesus name!
