Luke 1:57 “Now Elisabeth’s full time came that she should be delivered and she brought forth a son.”
Luke 1:58 “And her neighbours and her cousins heard how the Lord had shewed great mercy upon her; and they rejoiced with her.”
The emphasis of our meditation today is on what I called “full time”. I’ve seen football matches where a team is losing by a wide margin during the first half of a match but by the time the full time whistle was blown, the table had turned. The seeming loser winning at the full time.
Apologies to our non-football watching readers but I’m sure many will not forget in a hurry how Liverpool football club emerge winners of the 2019 European champions league, especially the semi-final match against the almighty Barcelona. They lost the first leg and it was as if they were completely out of contention but by the end of the full time of the second leg, everything had changed.
Friend, today’s meditation is not about football, it is just to let you know that once what you’re going through doesn’t look like what God has promised you, it is not yet full time!
It is the “full time” that determines the end result. It doesn’t matter for how long it seems the enemy has been having the upper hand, as long as your miracle is yet to be birthed, it is not yet full time.
The truth is this, the Bible calls God “Alpha” and “Omega”:
Revelations 1:8 “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is and which was and which is to come, the Almighty.”
That should be an encouragement to you. If He is just the Alpha and not Omega, we would have been in trouble. But He is Alpha and Omega, which means He is the beginning and the ending. What He starts He completes.
Once you check the result of your desires and what you’re going through and it doesn’t look like what God has promised you, then it is not yet “full time”.
To be continued…
