GILGAL

GILGAL
Luke 1:24 “And after those days his wife Elisabeth conceived and hid herself five months, saying”

Luke 1:25 “Thus hath the Lord dealt with me in the days wherein he looked on me, to take away my reproach among men”

Elizabeth hid herself for five months watching to be sure it was real. She kept herself away from the prowling eyes of unbelievers and enemies.

Afterwards she made an interesting statement;”… wherein he looked on me, to take away my reproach among men”. She reckoned that God had indeed removed reproach from her life.

The word reproach talks about shame or disgrace that somebody incurs. It is usually something that can discredit a man. The childlessness of Zacharias and Elizabeth has brought reproach upon them. Several people must have castigated them and made jest of them but the miracle of John’s birth wiped the shame away.

Joshua 5:9 “And the LORD said unto Joshua, This day have I rolled away the reproach of Egypt from off you. Wherefore the name of the place is called Gilgal unto this day.”

After the death of Moses, Joshua circumcised the children of Israel and God visited him and said He has rolled away the reproach of Egypt from off them, so he named the place Gilgal.

Gilgal simply means a rolling wheel or rolling away of shame.

Friend, I have news for you: From today, you will experience the Gilgal dimension of miracles. That is, a reproach and shame removing miracle. It doesn’t matter the shame that has befallen you, God is bringing a miracle that will totally eradicate it.

You might have been discredited, called names and saddened by the seeming delay of the manifestation of your desires. Perhaps, every other person have had theirs, and you’re facing so much reproach that you’re already considering suicide; beloved, relax!
Today, God is wiping away your tears, rolling away your reproaches, lifting your head high and giving you a surprise miracle. Hear Him:

Psalms 34:5 “They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.”

May you enjoy that shame removing miracle that will astound your mockers in Jesus name!
