Luke 1:18 “And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years.”
Luke 1:19 “And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings”
Luke 1:20 “And, behold thou shalt be dumb and not able to speak until the day that these things shall be performed because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season.”
Friend, it doesn’t matter who you are, either a prophet, apostle or just a believer, when you voice your doubts you’re simply shooting yourself in the foot. Hear this:
James 1:6 “But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.”
James 1:7 “For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.”
James 1:8 “A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.”
God doesn’t have time for doubters. Unbelief turns Him off. The angel was quickly put off by the response of priest Zacharias.
Beloved, your portion in the equation for miracle is to pray and release your faith. The how of the miracle is none of your business. Trying to figure out the how will lead nowhere.
The how of every miracle is the sole responsibility of God. Play your part and allow Him play His. Too much analysis always lead to paralysis. Your brain is too small to reason out God!
Zacharias and the angel showed us what to do when in doubt. Hear this:
Luke 1:22 “And when he came out he could not speak unto them: and they perceived that he had seen a vision in the temple: for he beckoned unto them, and REMAINED SPEECHLESS.”
Friend, don’t negate your prayers with your own mouth. Don’t let your mouth kill your miracles.
When in doubt, shut up!
