Luke 1:17 “And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.”

A senior pastor I respect so much said something recently that is worth taking note of, he said, “Today, many believers live life as if there won’t be rapture again and the message about the return of Jesus looks to be fast fading away!”

We seems to be so engrossed in “other messages”, such that we’re no longer conscious of the coming of the Messiah. Well, whether we’re conscious of it or not, whether we talk about it or not, Christ will still show up; rapture will still take place and we can’t do nothing about it.

No matter what else we do, we must never let that truth leave our sub-conscious and conscious minds! We’re not running away from earth, we’re just leaving to be with our Lord and Saviour.

In our focal scripture, one of the missions of John the Baptist is to get the people ready and prepared for the Lord. Why is that so?

The answer is not far-fetched, Christ isn’t coming for just any type of church and people, he has specifications!

Ephesians 5:27 “That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.”

Christ is coming for a glorious church, spotless, without wrinkle, holy and without blemish. I believe you have some cleaning up to do! Anyone that tells you it doesn’t matter how you live your life after salvation is not your friend. The scripture cannot be broken!

Beloved, Jesus is coming and coming soon for a spotless, holy church without wrinkle and I’m sure you know you’re the church, because His Spirit lives in you.

I guess it’s been long you heard the gist that “Jesus is coming”, well I just told you, so let it sink in and stick!
