JEHOVAH REMEMBERS HIS OATH-1
JEHOVAH REMEMBERS HIS OATH-1
Luke 1:13 “But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.”
Beloved, in case you’re wondering why it seems as if your miracles are delayed, this piece is for you. You must come to an understanding that God will never forget you. Your miracles will still happen when you stay with Him.
I discovered two important things about priest Zacharias and Elizabeth his wife. The name Zacharias means Jehovah remembers, while Elizabeth means God of (the) oath!
What a mighty God we serve! Whatever you’re going through is not outside His knowledge, He knows and remembers because He is a God of covenant. He is God of the oath. He has already sworn an oath to us and it is our duty to enforce it in prayer.
Friend, you must never go to the place of prayer without an oath! An oath is a solemn promise or word of promise. It is a formal or legally binding pledge to do something. God is not a man that will lie, all you need do is challenge Him with His oath and trigger Him to action.
Hear this:
Isaiah 49:15 “”Can a mother forget the infant at her breast, walk away from the baby she bore? But even if mothers forget, I’d never forget you–never.”
Isaiah 49:16 “Look, I’ve written your names on the backs of my hands. The walls you’re rebuilding are never out of my sight.” (MSG)
Whenever we throw his oath at Him, He steps into our situation. The problem of many prayer warriors is that they are not praying the oath each time they approach the place of prayers.
The word “remembers” according to Bible scholars doesn’t mean that God forgets. It simply means He brings the matter into focus! When you’re going to the place of prayer, go armed with an oath. For example:
