Luke 1:8 “And it came to pass that while he executed the priest’s office before God in the order of his course,”

Luke 1:9 “According to the custom of the priest’s office, his lot was to burn incense when he went into the temple of the Lord.”

Luke 1:10 “And the whole multitude of the people were praying without at the time of incense.”

…From yesterday…

Everybody loves to be in-charge and be the leader within the pack. Those folks were not left out. They began to argue amongst themselves on who will become the greatest and Jesus gave them the formula:

Luke 22:25 “But Jesus intervened: “Kings like to throw their weight around and people in authority like to give themselves fancy titles.”

Luke 22:26 “It’s not going to be that way with you. Let the senior among you become like the junior; let the LEADER ACT THE PART OF THE SERVANT.”

Luke 22:27 “”Who would you rather be: the one who eats the dinner or the one who serves the dinner? You’d rather eat and be served, right? BUT I’VE TAKEN MY PLACE AMONG YOU AS THE ONE WHO SERVES.”

The reason why Jesus is the greatest leader of all time is that he has made himself the greatest servant of all time! Even now in heaven he’s still serving by praying for us:

Romans 8:34 “Who is there to condemn [us]? Will Christ Jesus (the Messiah), Who died, or rather Who was raised from the dead, Who is at the right hand of God actually pleading as He intercedes for us?”

Zacharias never looked at his own challenge, he mounted his duty post and stayed there!

I also saw this powerful principle in the life of Job. Hear this:

Job 42:10 “And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.”

You’ll think that if anybody needs prayers it was Job.

To be continued…
