TRIAL OF THE RIGHTEOUS-2
TRIAL OF THE RIGHTEOUS-2
Luke 1:6 “And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.”
Luke 1:7 “And they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and they both were now well stricken in years.”
…From yesterday…
It makes no difference to God whether you have a mild headache or cancer, healing is healing in His agenda. Time can’t stop Him, the complexity of your problem makes no difference to Him. It is men that thinks their case is hopeless and their challenges enormous; God is not man.
Every one of us go through one challenge or the other, it is merely a trial of the righteous. Those things aren’t meant to kill or destroy you, they are simply opportunities for you to strengthen your faith muscles!
How do you think Joseph felt when he became a slave? What will you say to him if you met him preaching about the faithfulness of God inside the prison? Will you agree that God was still faithful?
What will you say to Peter if you met him while in prison and trying to preach salvation to you? Won’t you tell him that it seems Jesus lied to him when he said, “…thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” (Matthew 16:18).
It looks as though their world had crashed but alas, it was a setup for a step up!
Friend, sometimes our lives might look contrary to what God promised but then you must understand that as long as you don’t give up, God will show up!
A song writer said, “When it seems as if God is coming late, it means He is coming in a BIG way”.
Do you remember Job and what his wife said?
Job 2:9 “…Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die”
His wife encouraged him to curse God! I guess if Job’s wife was Elizabeth, he might have stopped going to church out rightly.
To be continued…
