Luke 1:6 “And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.”

Luke 1:7 “And they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and they both were now well stricken in years.”

The challenge many of us face as believers is the fact that it seems as if our service to God and righteous living is not getting rewarded. I’ve had cause to counsel people who thinks God is failing them!

I’ve seen people who feels it doesn’t pay to serve God. When you look at our world, it seems as if the wicked get things done quicker and easier than the upright. Many times it looks as if the devil is winning and scoring “good” points.

Beloved, Zacharias and Elizabeth must have felt the same way. They stood for righteousness, obeyed the commandment and ordinances of God, remained blameless despite Herod and all the evil around them, yet childless.

I’m sure occasionally they felt as if it doesn’t pay to serve God especially when they were now growing old and still childless. People might even be mocking them each time they head to church.

You can imagine what will be going on in the mind of people in church when Priest Zacharias is preaching and praying for people who are barren! Can you imagine how Elizabeth feels each time she has to go bath a new born baby of a church member?

Friend, hear me, it doesn’t matter what you’re going through, God will come through for you. Men might mock you and even tell you it’s too late but God sure knows how to defy human calculation and composition to get our miracles across to us.

The LORD doesn’t know impossibilities. Like I always say, “What He cannot do does not exist.” Your needs cannot run God bankrupt! You cannot exhaust the provisions of heaven. You can’t scare Him with your challenges.

It makes no difference to God whether you have a mild headache or cancer, healing is healing in His agenda.

To be continued…
