Genesis 26:26 “Then Abimelech went to him from Gerar, and Ahuzzath one of his friends, and Phichol the chief captain of his army.”

Genesis 26:27 “And Isaac said unto them, Wherefore come ye to me, seeing ye hate me, and have sent me away from you?”

Genesis 26:28 “And they said We saw certainly that the LORD was with thee: and we said Let there be now an oath betwixt us, even betwixt us and thee, and let us make a covenant with thee;”

…From yesterday…

Friend, your union with God is translating into jaw dropping testimonies. Mark you, Abimelech was not just a king but also the president of a nation, while Phichol was the commander of his army. Abimelech looks so powerful and great but he found himself at the mercy of Isaac, an ordinary citizen of the nation who has an extraordinary God!

Friend, you might not have their might and wherewithal but they will come prostrating before you because God is on your side! As the saying goes; “One with God is majority.”

When you look back at the story, you’ll see on several occasions how Abimelech and his kinsmen tried to stop Isaac.

Genesis 26:16 “And Abimelech said unto Isaac, Go from us; for thou art much mightier than we.”

Genesis 26:20 “And the herdmen of Gerar did strive with Isaac’s herdmen saying The water is ours: and he called the name of the well Esek; because they strove with him.”

They fought Isaac, sent him on exile and collected his labour. They thought they had bankrupt him but God stood by him and put a whole nation to shame!

Beloved, it doesn’t matter who is against you, their shame is just around the corner! Isaac didn’t have military might, neither did he have the power to physically confront the men of Gerar, but the God of His father showed up and made him greater than the nation and her inhabitants put together.

That same God is alive, when you stick with Him, Abimelech will come to seek for your help!

Love you BiG
