Genesis 26:20 “And the herdmen of Gerar did strive with Isaac’s herdmen saying The water is ours: and he called the name of the well Esek; because they strove with him.”

Genesis 26:21 “And they digged another well, and strove for that also: and he called the name of it Sitnah.”

Genesis 26:22 “And he removed from thence, and digged another well; and for that they strove not: and he called the name of it Rehoboth; and he said For now the LORD hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.”

On the road of destiny and success you’re going to confront severe oppositions. You don’t need to invite them, they’ll show up. It doesn’t matter who you’re, they’ll come calling.

I want you to know that it’s not because God didn’t send you, that’s why they showed up, not at all. They’ll show up to test your resolve and to stop you. But, the good news is this; they’ve been conquered in the past by our fathers of faith and as such we can conquer them too.

Isaac called the names of those wells by the same names his father called them, and he didn’t just get the success of his father, he got some of his oppositions too.

One of the things you gain by learning from a mentor is the wisdom to deal with the enemies that fought him and slowed him down so that you can easily walk over them and defeat them.

The devil has not changed. He is still the same old devil and will always show up to stop you but you must have enough wisdom to dispatch him faster than your mentor. We don’t know for how long they fought Abraham but Isaac dispatched them quickly without and delay.

Our focal scripture showed us two of the demons we will face in our quest for success. They are Esek and Sitnah. No matter what you want to achieve they will show up.
