DIG ANOTHER WELL-1
Genesis 26:18 “And Isaac digged again the wells of water, which they had digged in the days of Abraham his father; for the Philistines had stopped them after the death of Abraham: and he called their names after the names by which his father had called them.”

Success is not a destination but rather a journey. Your ability to hold on in the face of daunting challenges determines how successful you’ll become.

On this path you will come across formidable oppositions. They will come to scatter what you’ve built and try to stop your enlargement and expansion. Your ability to stand against them will determine the outcome of your life.

When Jesus was on earth, he had some really bad oppositions. The teachers of the law, Jews, Pharisees and Sadducees came down heavily against him. They were bent on stopping him by all means possible. They tried to blackmail him, instigate people against him, tried to assassinate him severally. They even bribed a member of his inner circle to betray him.

Despite all the attempts they made, they were unable to stop him. Paul also told us about his ordeal:

2Corinthians 11:24 “I’ve been flogged five times with the Jews’ thirty-nine lashes,”

2Corinthians 11:25 “beaten by Roman rods three times, pummeled with rocks once. I’ve been shipwrecked three times, and immersed in the open sea for a night and a day.”

2Corinthians 11:26 “In hard traveling year in and year out, I’ve had to ford rivers, fend off robbers, struggle with friends, struggle with foes. I’ve been at risk in the city, at risk in the country, endangered by desert sun and sea storm, and betrayed by those I thought were my brothers.” (MSG)

Those were examples of how they covered the wells of Paul! The enemy threw all that at Paul but each time he picked himself up and dug another well.

Digging a well is not an easy task, it could take days or weeks to dig before getting water, so for somebody to wake up and cover it could be very discouraging.
