INVOKE THE OATH-1
Genesis 26:3 “Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father;”

In our focal scripture, God told Isaac that the reason He is doing what He’s about doing for him is because of the oath which He swore unto Abraham his father.

In order for you to live a victorious, miraculous and ever prospering Christian life, you must understand this interesting principle. Many believers try to do things that will force God into doing stuff for them. They operate by their strength, wisdom and works but end up frustrated. It seems the more they try to “impress” God the more He seems uninterested.

The gist is this, you’ll be wasting your time trying to influence God! He told Isaac that what has to be done will be done not because of him but because of the oath between Abraham and Himself.

In the same vein, Jesus came and did all that needed to be done for you and I to be free, whole, healthy and prosperous. He has already obtained an oath which is stronger than the one Abraham had. All we need do is appropriate it and invoke it.

Friend, Jesus has pleased the Father on our behalf, all we need do is invoke the power of the oath he had with the Father. Hear him:

John 5:37 “And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.”

John 8:18 “I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.”

Jesus has obtained the approval of the Father, all we need do is invoke that oath. For example:

2Corinthians 8:9 “For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor that ye through his poverty might be rich”
